History: Beginnings
The beginnings of speed reading can be found in the years of the 2nd world war. Then the Royal Air Force were aware of fact, that pilot from long distance can’t differ ally planes from enemy planes.
They carried out experiment: they started to display their pilots images of ally and enemy planes . After some time they were smaller and displayed for shorter period of time. It turned out that pilots after that training were able to differ their own and opponents machines from very long distance.
It was the very beginning of speed reading. They noticed that it is possible to train the sight that it will absorb more informations in shorter time period.
In time they began to improve fast reading techniques.
